"Never let me go" by Kazuo Ishiguro [this is kind of a book/movie recommendation]
In my culture class we had two presentations about “Never let me go” by Kazuo Ishiguro.
One was about the novel and the other one was about the movie.
Since I have neither read the book nor watched the movie yet there won’t be any spoilers!
Of course every group has given a short summary but as I said there won’t be any spoilers so if you are still interested you can read a short plot summary here.
I thought it deals with quite an interesting topic (cloning) so I decided to watch the trailer. And now I’ve seen it I realized that I LOVE the actors/actresses who play the main characters! Just to mention them: Keira Knightley (Pirates of the Caribbea), Andrew Garfield (Social Network), Carey Mulligan (you might know her from the Dr Who episode “Blink”) and Domhnall Gleeson (Bill Weasley).
So I will definitely watch the movie and (hopefully I will find the time to) read the book.
The group which did the presentation on the movie said already that they think the book is better than the movie and my teacher also agreed on that. Nevertheless they also showed reviews and filmcritics that said it was a good movie if you don’t only see it as an adaptation of the book but as a work of its own.
If you are interested in the trailer you can watch it here

And if you want to buy the book you can order it here
